The third collection part 5 – A cup of thoughtfulness

on

Our father always told us: “No matter what happens, you should not be angry with your family.”

We are 3 siblings and we have been growing up, living together for a very long time. We have many arguments about everything even the tiniest issue. Our father would talk separately with us, he would listen to our stories and then, he went to the kitchen to cook our favourite dishes or bought some nice sweets from a grocery store in our neighbourhood.

He told us how important a family is, how we care for and accept each other. A teapot was always there, in the middle of the table and it has been always been an important part of our home.

“The lotus harvest only takes place during summer, and the farmers spend the rest of the year working in the mountains surrounding the fields, collecting wood and raising cattle. They start harvesting lotus seeds at around 4 am, pause during the brutal midday heat, and return when the temperatures drop.”

Lotus tea contains no caffeine and it is known for many benefits, these include, collagen generation, de-stressing, and calming effects, regulating healthy blood sugar levels, promoting a healthy digestive system, boosting blood circulation, relieving inflammation and period cramps, and helping with diarrhoea.

Start the day beautifully with your smile and a cup of tea. Various tea flavours bring you various feelings. To be embraced and touched by the warmth from the cup in your hands becomes an essential part of your life. We have found a stillness inside and we have listened to our own thoughts.

Somedays we spend time sharing stories, somedays we spend time discovering, somedays we spend time breathing and thinking.

“Smile to the cloud in your tea.” – Thầy Thích Nhất Hạnh
